Geert obtained his law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven in 1990. He obtained an additional diploma in tax science at the Hogere Leergangen voor Fiscale Wetenschappen (Tax College) in Brussels in 1992.

Geert has been a lawyer at the Antwerp bar since 1990. In 2015, Geert joined Thales Advocaten.

Practice Areas

Distribution and consumer protection
Geert has a broad knowledge in the field of contract law and real estate law with a preference for contract law, purchase and sale, co-ownership and housing law. He assists companies in meeting their legal needs in the context of their activities.
In 2009, he optimised his knowledge and experience in the field of real estate by following the postgraduate course "Real Estate Law for Real Estate Practice" at the Catholic University of Brussels, where he passed the exams with the highest distinction.

He is also a legal adviser to the Provincial Council of the Order of Architects in Antwerp.
